Events in the Resource Expo
Opening Theme Reception: Hors d’oeuvre, Drinks & Exhibits
(Guest cost: $20)
Stop by our Resource Expo Opening Reception Tuesday night and get a head start on visiting our exhibitors to learn about new products on the market and solutions for your organization’s needs—all while enjoying unique refreshments and an open bar. Build relationships as you connect with the exhibitors in our Resource Expo and be the first to bid on the silent auction items!
Wednesday, 4:30–6:00pm, Thursday, 9:00am–5:30pm
View and bid during Resource Expo hours—silent auctions end 5:30pm Thursday before the live auction! Show your passion for the profession and support NAI’s scholarship program by buying and/or donating auction items. We ask that you download your silent auction donation forms and submit them online this year. This will give our hard-working auction committee an opportunity to get some of the work done ahead of time this year—and maybe even catch a session or two during the conference!
Marketplace of Ideas
You never know what you’ll find in the Marketplace of Ideas! Stop by to see great demonstrations, recent research, living-history costumes, displays, lesson plans, books, videos, or interactives, among much else. The Marketplace is designed for the exchange of best practices and not sales-oriented.
Interpretive Career Fair
At the annual career fair, employers and job seekers discuss employment opportunities. If you’re an employer, be sure to bring along information about job openings and plenty of business cards to share. When you check in at the conference, be sure to sign up for a slot to share your company’s information with prospective employees. If you’re looking for a job, be sure to bring copies of your résumé to share with employers.
Resource Expo Closing Reception & Live Auction
Thursday, 4:30–6:00pm, Reception & Open Bar; 6:00–7:00pm
Silent Auction Closing & Live Auction (Guest cost: $25)
Join us as we say thank you to our exhibitors and sponsors with an evening of hors d’oeuvres and drinks! Place your final bids on silent auction items, then sit back and enjoy the live auction!
The auction is the perfect place to find holiday gifts, curiosities, collector’s items, interpretation materials, or a special treat for yourself. NAI is dedicated to supporting education and training for young professionals in interpretation. Proceeds go to NAI’s scholarship fund, which provides training monies for students and professionals.
