AMY FORD
Regional Leadership Council Representative |
Amy Ford is currently the supervisor of Cave Creek Regional Park, part of the largest regional park system in the nation. She has been an interpreter and interpretive trainer for over a decade. Amy considers herself fortunate to have honed her interpretive skills in some of the country’s most beautiful State and National Parks, including the Blue Ridge Parkway, Point Reyes National Seashore, Pfeiffer Big Sur, and the Santa Cruz District of California State Parks. She recently developed an intensive 16-week docent training course for the Desert Botanical Garden in Phoenix, Arizona.
Amy holds a B.S. degree in Environmental Studies from the University of North Carolina at Asheville. In addition to her position as NAI Region 8 Director and RLC Representative, Amy is on the Board of Directors of the Arizona Association for Environmental Education (AAEE), an affiliate of the North American Association for Environmental Education (NAEE). When Amy is not working to connect people with the natural world around them, she enjoys singing, bird watching and hiking in the mountains around her home in the Sonoran Desert. |
