John C.F. Luzader has been involved in cultural and living history interpretation since 1961. His experience includes working for national, local and private agencies and organizations throughout the United States, Canada, Europe, parts of Africa and in China. Specializing in military history he created historical interpretation programs that cover American historic events from the 17th. into the 20th century. Mr. Luzader has acted as a historical consultant and actor in nationally viewed films and television presentations. He has presented professional papers and/or given keynote addresses for the National Fur Trade Symposiums, National Association for Interpretation and its Cultural Interpretation and Living History Section, Parks Canada, the Association for Living History, Farms and Agricultural Museums, Colorado /Wyoming Association of Museums, National 4-H Conference, the Mid-West Open Air Museums Coordinating Council, and the International World Heritage organization.
He is currently the Director of NAI’s Cultural Interpretation and Living History Section and a Board Member of both The National Association for Interpretation and the Corps of Engineers Natural Resource Education Foundation.
To date, Mr. Luzader has published over 250 articles on history and historic interpretation in national newsletters and magazines and served as a board member in three national interpretive organizations and for numerous not for profit organizations.
Mr. Luzader attended American University in Washington, D.C. and Colorado State University in Ft. Collins, Colorado. He acquired degrees in Philosophy and Religion, Music Performance, History and Cultural Anthropology.
He was a professional vocal performer singing at Wolf Trap Park in Fairfax County, Virginia, The JFK Center of Performing Arts, the National Cathedral and the National Methodist Church in Washington, D.C. as well as numerous locales through out the Washington , D.C. and New York City areas.
Mr. Luzader provided voice over work for numerous films and educational videos including being the voice of Captain William Clark on the national Car Tours CD programs commemorating the Bicentennial of the Lewis and Clark Expedition and has worked in over a dozen nationally known historic film presentations.

Since 1994 he has been a Principal with Living Museums of the West, a interpretive consulting firm providing program design, training and assessments for cultural and historic sites. |
