There are many ways to show your support for the profession of interpretation and the National Association for Interpretation. NAI is a 501c3 not-for-profit organization, so all or part of your donation may be tax-deductible, depending on which option you choose. Please check with your own tax advisor to ensure you receive all the tax benefits to which you may be entitled.
Generally, donations fall into two categories: restricted and unrestricted. Restricted funds comprise the Legacy Trust Fund and are dedicated to debt retirement on the building mortgage, scholarships, or innovations. Unrestricted funds can be used for operations and put towards the greatest need at any given time. Both are important sources of revenue for the organization and allow greater service to the profession.
If you would like to explore other options for supporting NAI and the profession beyond those that are listed, please contact executive director Tim Merriman to discuss your idea.
