Passports/Visas
Non-Australian conference delegates will need a passport and may need a visa to enter Australia. You can find information about obtaining a visa in this Business Visitor Visa Information pdf. The Australian Immigration Office recommends applying for your visa at least 6-8 weeks in advance of the conference.
Accommodations

Rydges HotelThe host hotel for the conference is Rydges Southbank in Townsville, Queensland. This hotel is just a 10-minute drive from the Townsville airport, and is within easy walking distance to the city center, where you can find a wide selection of restaurants and bars. Wireless Internet is available throughout the hotel and complimentary parking is available. A block of rooms is being held at this hotel and the facility will host all conference functions (unless otherwise noted).

Standard room
AU$165 (approximately $136 USD)

Getting There

Townsville lies on the Bruce Highway, midway between Whitsundays and Cairns.

Air Travel
Townsville is serviced by regular daily jet and regional air services through Townsville’s modern airport terminal. Jet services are provided by Virgin Blue, Qantas, and Jetstar.
