Getting There
Bus Transportation from Seoul to Sokcho
A free bus will be provided to bring people from the Seoul airport to the hotel in Sokcho. The bus will leave the Seoul airport on May 11 at 2:00 p.m., arriving at the Sokcho hotel in time for the first event of the conference. The bus will return participants to the Seoul airport on May 16 not later than 1 p.m. (departing Sokcho at 8 a.m.) Please make your airline reservations accordingly and indicate on the registration form if you need transportation to or from the Seoul airport on those days.
If you’re driving: Plan on about four hours drive from Seoul to Sokcho. From Seoul, the connections will be: Seoul - Youngdong H/W (Hobub I.C - Wonju - Dunna - Hajinbu) Woljungsa - Noinbong – Soguem River - Yongok - Sokcho - Hanwha Resort / Sorak. We suggest you bring a map of Korea to help you navigate the highway system.
If you’re flying: There are two major airports in Korea. We recommend flying into Incheon International Airport (airport code ICN), about an hour’s drive from downtown Seoul. Transportation to Sokcho from Seoul and Incheon International Airport will be available by bus or you may choose to rent a car. Please indicate on your registration form if you need bus transportation so that we can accommodate you. There is no charge for bus transportation if needed. |

Accommodations
The host hotel is the Hanwha Resort near Sokcho City and adjacent to Mt. Seoraksan National Park. Nearby attractions include Mt. Seoraksan, Choksan Hot Spring, Sokcho Beach, and the Alps Ski Resort. The resort’s amenities include full conference facilities, a hot spring park, and paved bike-paths, all with stunning views of the imposing Mt. Seoraksan. All meetings (except specified off-site events) will take place at the resort.
When you register for the workshop you can select a room option (each room has three beds and two separate bedrooms with a kitchen and bathroom). Rooms are available at one rate for the entire week, with check-in on May 11 and check-out on May 16:
Option 1 - Reserve a room for yourself. $500.00
Option 2 - Share a room with one roommate. $260.00
Option 3 - Share a room with two roommates. $175.00
You can request that NAI assigns you a roommate or identify those you would like to share with.
