Certification
We received five applications for the Certification Program Manager; however, we are going to put off this hire until September or October, so we will run some additional ads for the position in June and July to increase the available pool of appropriate applicants.
The entire staff certification team met to determine ways in which to streamline processes within the office to make this program more efficient and provide better service to those who are using the program.

International
The Galapagos ecotour is half-way full already with nine confirmed registrants at this time.

We are in the process of packing for IWH and look forward to this event. The IWH dates and location for 2007 have been contracted with the Marriott Vancouver Pinnacle Downtown for March 25-29, 2007. The call for papers is up on the website and we have already received one paper submission from Pakistan for next year (after the call was up only one day).

Interpretation Canada is still determining whether they wish to be a co-host or not, but will decide by April 21.

A recommended process for international affiliations has been distributed for board review and two conference calls scheduled for April 26 (10 a.m. mountain) or April 27 (3 p.m. mountain time) to allow any questions or discussion to take place.

Contracts & Speaking Engagements
I’ve been asked to serve on an advisory team for a grant project conducted by the Institute of Learning Innovations in partnership with AASLH for a 3-year research project.

Definitions Project
We are preparing for the next definitions project on June 1 and 2 in West Virginia.

Administrative
Quarterly employee reviews have been conducted.
