Publications
Greetings
from the art and publications office.
InterpNet
Russ and I are working on a new look and navigation system for the NAI web site.
You can see a mock-up of the new site here: http://www.naimembers.com/redesign/
Legacy
The May/June
issue (Interpretation Abroad) will go to press by April 21 and
mail in early May.
Themes have been established through
the July/August 2006 issue
and are
as
follow:
• July/August
2006: How we view nature in our daily lives
• September/October 2006: Technology in Interpretation
• November/December 2006: Interpreting Sacred Places
• January/February 2007: Interpreting Sound
• March/April 2007: Interpreting War
The Interpreter.
The March/April
issue was the first to include a contest where the first reader
to answer a trivia question in the issue wins a gift certificate
to
the association
store. That contest was won by Kathy Gross.
I will begin production on the May/June issue in late April. It
is scheduled for distribution in early June.
InterpNews
The spring 2006 issue, mailed last month, promotes Richard Louv
as the NIW keynote speaker, among other items.
I am working on a redesign of the newsletter, most likely to be
unveiled with the summer issue.
Journal of Interpretation Research
The second 2005 issue has been mailed (!) .
NIW
The NIW 2006 web site ( www.interpnet.com/niw2006 ) is fully functional
and will grow considerably between now and November.
The NIW 2007 logo has been finalized and will be unveiled in the
summer InterpNews.
Schedule
In April, I attended and presented concurrent sessions at spring
workshops in Region 5 and Region 10. I will attend the Interpreting
World
Heritage
conference in Puerto Rico in May. I have vacation planned for the
summer. My complete upcoming
schedule is available
at www.interpnet.com/board/schedule.htm.
Respectfully,
Paul
