| Membership
Manager Jamie King April 2007 The year has started out on a good note for NAI membership. We have maintained high membership numbers each month. We are constantly working to find better ways to retain members as well as find new ones. We have a large number of memberships expiring on May 1st and have taken this as a challenge to help us improve our process year-round. So far we have seen a decent response rate (about 27%, most months we see an average of 18% renewal before the expiration date then jump to 45% retention two months after the membership expiration), we will continue to target these individuals. The first week in May we plan to make phone calls to those that have not renewed, both to verify that we have their correct information and to make sure they are aware that their membership expired as we have found that many members do not realize right away that their benefits have stopped (especially those with basic level memberships). The new Interpretunities job posting service has really started off well in 2007. It has already earned more than 50% of its expected income for the year. NAI Commercial and Institutional members have also been taking full advantage of their ability to post free listings. Region Directors: Please make sure that you send in the list of nonmember registrants as soon as you close your registration.
