Audit,
Budget and Cash Flow
This month’s budget report reflects
performance of NAI through the NIW 2006 event in Albuquerque.
That very large revenue event allows us to have some real idea
about how the year has gone. It is looking good for having a
very positive budget surplus for 2006.
Business Plan
The 2007 Business Plan is our first using a logic
model with projected ouput, outcome and impact objectives. We believe
the conservative budget and clear model for success will make it
a good year next year.
Grants
We are completing our grants projects with USEPA, NPS, ILI,
and USFWS for 2006 and will have a followup project related to
the CSU study of E.E. curricula in 2007. All funds have been received
except the latter one which takes place mostly in FY2007.
Definitions Project
The fourth and final meeting at NCTC in Shepherdstown,
WV, took place in December and will result in a Definitions website
in early 2007. This glossary of terminology will be rapidly adopted
by many of the partners in pieces or in total for sharing a common
language in nonfomal education and free-choice learning.
InterpPress
The two new titles for InterpPress were sold at NIW
2006 and have been sent to 50 professors for potential use as textbooks
in 2007. Jamie has arranged for Amazon to sell all of our titles
and some of those are already selling through their website system.
Journal of Interpretation Research
The second issue of the Journal
for 2006 is has been edited and is going back to authors for final
review before printing. It should be out early in 2007.
Legacy Trust Fund
Board mandated changes in investments were made
on July 31 and completed by August 11. An update on those changes
may be seen by clicking here: NAI Investments.
Networking
The Definitions Project and a Manager’s Course
in Arkansas were the two most recent events at which we met with
partners and clients. A very full schedule for 2007 of training
events and meetings is already arranged.
