3. Member Update

Membership at the end of January was 4438 with 86 new members and 187 renewals.

The first week of February welcomed Tara Tanner as the new Membership Assistant. If you call the office, it will likely be Tara’s voice you hear on the other end of the line.

We are currently working with Sara Melena from Colorado State University to get a survey out to nature centers across the country. Along with filling out the survey, they are also being asked to fill out a post card if they are interested in being listed in the Centers Directory. After we start receiving these members, we will work on an updated version of the Centers Directory as well as a campaign to gain institutional members.

We are also getting very close to the completion of the new membership database, which will eventually include the certification database as well as the databases for all national and international workshops. This will allow us to easily update member information and therefore better serve our membership.

Welcome to all new board members. Please feel free to contact me with any questions regarding membership information or if you need items likes letterhead, envelopes, brochures, etc. I look forward to working with you.

Sincerely,
Jamie
