Legacy Trust Fund (LTF)
There are some new key donors who deserve recognition. The following individuals have recently contributed at least $1,500: Marquita Manley, Bruce McHenry and Martha Hazen, Chuck and Helen Mortensen, and David Taylor.

Recognition for each of the first 100 key-donors will include a gold lapel pin that is shaped as a key. Their name will also be added to a plaque that will be prominently displayed at the national office. The space is limited. Thirty four spaces are filled and there are 66 remaining opportunities.

For 2003-2004, the total amount of pledged and cash gifts directed to LTF equals $70,940. When this is added to last year’s previous amount of $267,000 the total dollars generated to date equals $337,940.

Capital initiative:
We have received our first pledged commitment of $15,000 for a named room from Lisa Brochu. Her generous commitment is instrumental as a leadership gift. The goal for 2005 is to name 15 rooms at our national office. Individuals have the option of room location and designation. In fact, some individuals who choose this type of lasting legacy prefer to honor a family member or others who have influenced their lives.

Life Members:
An end of the year solicitation was sent via email to life members.

Planned Giving
A Charitable Gift Annuity example was sent forward to a member this month. For our members’ convenience, we can also provide examples of other gift vehicles that provide tax benefits and opportunities for significant charitable gifts.

International Workshop
Sponsorship and scholarship planning is taking place for the May 2006 International Workshop held in Puerto Rico. Agencies, companies and foundations have been identified that endorse international heritage interpretation. Volunteers are already soliciting underwritten support for this inaugural event.

Grants
A personal visit has been confirmed with the El Pomar Foundation in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Following the visit, a proposal will be submitted for capital support. With two grant cycles, the Bohemian Foundation has encouraged us to submit an additional proposal for their February cycle. The EPA grant is still pending.
