July 2008
Membership numbers are on the rise right now. We are looking to finish the summer months a lot better than we started (we are over 5000 members right now, up from 4300 earlier this year).
Registration for the National Workshop in Portland is doing good things for membership numbers right now. A new registration regulation this year requires that a membership must be current through the date of the workshop to get the member rate. This has allowed us to get a large number of end of the year expires renewed earlier in the year, thus allowing fewer memberships to lapse.
I have also started sending out renewal reminders to all members that have an expiration date between now and December.
Registration for the National Workshop is around 450 at current count and hasn’t showed any sign of slowing since the June 30th deadline. It should be a great workshop.
Regional Directors: Please be sure that the person handling registration for your regional workshop sends in the information for nonmembers attending your workshops. I am still missing a few. Regions I have received lists from: 3, 4, 5, 6, 9
Sincerely,
Jamie

Total number above does not equal the sum of all regional
members because some basic level members belong to a section
but not a region.
