Copy-editing
I have been dissatisfied with the inconsistent level of copy-editing
I have gotten
out of our CSU student workers, so I have decided to forego having
a student worker and have a professional editor review all publications
before they go
to
press. The cost works out to about the same and the level of
editing is much higher. The most recent issues of Legacy, The
Interpreter, and InterpNews have all been professionally copy-edited.
InterpPress books
The first book slated for production in 2007 is Doug Knapp's Applied Interpretation:
Putting Research Into Practice. We are also fielding queries for books to be
produced as online pdfs.
Legacy
The July/August is at the printer and will mail by the end of
June.
Themes have been established through the July/August 2008 issue
and are as follow:
September/October 2007: Myth vs. Reality in Interpretation
November/December 2007: Interpreting Universal Concepts
January/February 2008: Changes in World Tourism
March/April 2008: Interpreting Peace
May/June 2008: Interpreting Great Oratories
July/August 2008: Stewardship of the Oceans
The Interpreter.
I am about to begin production on the July/August issue.
InterpNews
The summer issue has mailed. The fall issue is due for production in late
August/early September.
Journal of Interpretation Research
I have received some of the materials for the first issue of 2007 and am
waiting for the rest from the editor.
Schedule
I will be out of the office July 6-10. My complete upcoming schedule
is available at www.interpnet.com/resources_leaders/staffschedule.shtml.
