Associate Director
I appreciate your patience with my schedule this past month as I continue
to try to juggle things in my new family situation.
Phone Contacts
Contact was attempted with all regional directors, resulting in two
conversations and eight messages left.
Certification
Since the last staff report, we have completed a second CIM certification
workshop for the year in Kingston, Ontario. This workshop, which included
9 Canadians from Parks Canada and two U.S. residents, was very well-received.
The Canadians were excited about what NAI is doing and look forward
to more involvement in all of our programs. They’re considering
sending a staff member to the next CIT workshop which will enable them
to begin getting the CIG and CIH programs throughout Parks Canada.
International
The international workshop is coming along. The call for papers is
up on the website and presentations are coming in. Registration materials
should be up in mid-April.
Board Reorganization
Met with Vern about the process and products for board reorganization
in late February. He will be sending out information to the task force
in the next week or so.
Contracts & Speaking Engagements
No new contracts or speaking engagements have been initiated in the
last month, but a grant proposal has been made to the Bohemian Foundation
in Fort Collins to support a partnership project with the Raptor Center
and other nonprofit organizations along with the City of Fort Collins.
Respectfully submitted,
Lisa Brochu
