NAI National Workshop participants receive discounted rates at host hotels, and each hotel is close to the Oregon Convention Center.
Doubletree Hotel Portland
The Doubletree Hotel & Executive Meeting Center Portland–Lloyd Center is adjacent to the fabulous Lloyd Center Mall and just blocks from the newly expanded Oregon Convention Center, the Rose Garden Arena, and Memorial Coliseum. Internet is $9.95 in guest rooms and there is complimentary wireless access in the lobby.

The Doubletree has successfully taken on green initiatives and is considered a hospitality industry leader. Soon after they began their program two years ago, they redirected more than 126 tons of waste from the landfill in only six months.

Rates and Reservations
$99 Standard Rooms (single or double) and $104 Premium Rooms (single or double). The cut-off date for this group rate is October 19, 2008, and the group code is NAI. Parking is $5 per night for overnight guests and $3 for daytime guests.

Getting There:
From Portland International Airport:
Follow Airport Way to I-205 South. Then take I-84 West and go approximately five miles to exit 1, Lloyd Blvd. Go to the second light off the exit and take a right. Go a block and a half and Lloyd Center is on the left.

From Max Light Rail (Airport):
Take the MAX red line to the Lloyd Center/NE 11th Ave. Once you are off the MAX, the hotel is to the left.

From the North (on I-5):
Take Rose Quarter-City Center Exit 302A. Take a left at the second light (Weidler). Go to 9th Avenue and take a right. Go to the second light and the hotel is on the left.

From the South (on I-5):
Take Rose Quarter-City Center Exit 302A. At the first light, take a right on Weidler. Go to 9th Avenue and take a right. Go to the second light and the hotel is on the left.

Take exit 302A (Coliseum/City Center/ Broadway/Weidler). Go straight to the second light and turn left onto Weidler; get in the right hand lane. At the first light, turn right onto Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. Get into the far left lane. The hotel located four blocks on the left.

I-5 Northbound (From Salem):
Take exit 302A (Coliseum/City Center/ Broadway/Weidler). Take a right at the light (Weidler). Stay in the right lane, and turn right onto Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. (also known as Hwy 99) at the first light. Get into the far left lane. The hotel located four blocks on the left.

I-84 Westbound:
Take I-5 north and follow the directions marked “I-5 Northbound (From Salem)” above.

The NAI Forum, located in the NAI Member Area, has an area set aside under the 2008 NAI National Workshop topic for roommate referrals. If you haven't registered for the forum yet, just choose the username and password that you want (not the same as the NAI Member Area login), log in, and start posting!

Convention Center
Oregon Convention CenterMost events (excluding off-site sessions and some special events) during NAI 2008 will take place at the Oregon Convention Center, the largest convention center in the Pacific Northwest.

Travel by Rail for a Green Route to Portland
Looking for a more sustainable way to travel to the National Workshop in Portland, this fall? How about a train trip? MAX Light Rail
MAXThe convention center and host hotels are located on the red and blue lines of Portland's MAX Light Rail, providing easy access to a lively downtown and other attractions. Trains run every 5 to 15 minutes every day roughly between 4:30 a.m. and midnight.
