Webinars

Webinars are a low-cost way to learn, obtain continuing education hours for your certification, and/or train your staff for less than two hours on a topic that interests them/your site.

Group Discounts

For our Institutional and Commercial members wishing to purchase attendance for multiple staff members: the first registrant will pay normal pricing and each registrant after will pay $25 for one-hour webinars or $35 for two-hour webinars. To setup the discount, please register your first individual, then email institutional@interpnet.com for a promo code for your additional registrants.

Registration

Registration for each webinar will close at 6 a.m. Pacific the day of the webinar.

Login information is generally sent the day before the webinar occurs from webinars@interpnet.com, please add this email address to your contacts to insure login instructions end up in your inbox. If lost, login instructions and confirmation emails can also be found on your account page under the My Communications tab.

Continuing Education Hours

If you are wishing to gain continuing education for certification from the webinar, you will need to log into the webinar on your own computer. This allows us to verify your attendance and show the hours on your account. 

Webinar Cancellation Policy

NAI will accept registration cancellations or changes, in writing, up to 5 business days prior to a webinar. Participants can choose to change their registration to a different webinar of equal or lesser value (no fee), or receive a refund ($5 processing fee). Registrants who are unable to participate after the cancellation deadline will be sent a link to the recording of the webinar, when available. Changes and cancellations should be emailed to webinars@interpnet.com.

System Test

We conduct most of our webinars using Zoom. Be sure to check your confirmation email for system test information.

Beyond the ADA: Creating Welcoming Experiences for Community Members with Disabilities

Many nature spaces are not fully available to people with disabilities. This is true even for spaces that follow the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). The City of Fort Collins Natural Areas has co-developed a tool with community members with disabilities to assess and improve access that goes beyond the requirements of the ADA. Learn how to use this tool, and others, to improve the accessibility of your site and signage for a variety of audiences!

AJ Chlebnik is a Public Engagement Specialist for the City of Fort Collins Natural Areas Department and the Director of NAI’s Four Corners Region. One of her many roles is as a liaison to community members with disabilities, helping to make natural spaces more accessible for everyone.

Mary Helen Reuter is the Curator of Education & Visitor Experience at Naples Botanical Garden. Along with planning, implementing, and maintaining personal and non-personal interpretation at the Garden, she is also a Certified Interpretive Guide Trainer.

Em Kless is the Interpretation Specialist at Naples Botanical Garden, and their service dog, Clementine, is the Garden’s unofficial Chief Cuddle Officer when not tasked with keeping Em safe. Together they strive to break barriers and represent the often-unseen community of disabled professionals with service dogs.

Matt Villamaino is a Regional Interpretive Coordinator for the Massachusetts Park System. He is a Certified Associate in Project Management and holds the CIP, CIT, and CHI credentials from NAI. He started in the field quite early, opening a dinosaur museum at age 8 with a friend and donating the proceeds to the Springfield Science Museum for “more dinosaurs.”
