Training Program

NAI’s Training Program is intended to help you learn the skills you need to move forward in your career. We do this through in-person training courses, online learning such as webinars, and through partnering with other organizations to provide courses.

For a list and description of our training courses please check out  our What Trainings Do We Offer? page.

Recently I attended the new Process of Interpretive Planning workshop. NAI hit the ball out of the park by contracting with Dave Bucy. PIP, under Dave’s direction, is the best yet. The workshop allowed me to meet my goals and objectives for the PA Bureau of State Parks participants and program, strengthen my own skills, and to have confidence that NAI moved in the right direction with this workshop. I will highly recommend it to anyone who asks. Dave is an excellent instructor who teaches content, models what he teaches, and provides opportunities to apply and practice the skills being taught.”

"I took what I learned in Chicago (in the Coaching Interpreters Workshop) and immediately put it to use. I took advice from my peers, scheduled time for observations and coaching and went into it with all of the knowledge gained from the workshop. Thank you so much again for developing and hosting this workshop. I thought I had gotten a lot out of the experience and it has already paid off.”

Thanks most of all for providing a safe environment in which to learn... the Coaching workshop made me feel safe enough to try out new ideas and to practice. All of this happened to be crucial to my personal growth, but even more to the point, it has served as a model for coaching interpreters on all levels.
