Interpretive training can help interpreters increase their capacity. This introductory webinar will cover the foundations of a good training, including Adult Learning Theory. You’ll also discover your own personal instructor style, some quick-start tips, and how a thoughtful evaluation can pull it all together.

Katie Raney started in the field of interpretation in 2007 and has since worked for national parks, state parks, and a museum. Now as a Regional Interpretive Specialist for Texas State Parks, she supports interpretation at 17 state parks in Central Texas through training, publications, projects, and more.

For NAI Institutional and Commercial members wishing to purchase attendance for multiple staff members: the first registrant will pay normal pricing and each additional registrant will run $20. Anyone wishing to gain Certification renewal hours from the webinar will have to login to the webinar on their own computer. This allows us to verify that they were in attendance and credit the hours to their account. In order to hear the presentation, you will need to use your computer speakers or a headset (such as earbuds that came with your cell phone) to stream the audio through your computer. If you would like to participate in Q&A with the presenter, we recommend using a microphone.
