Choosing the right tools as you plan your programming is key. We’ll focus on which technology and social media platforms provide the most accessible options for sharing your content and how to choose features that help you avoid creating barriers to access.

Melanie Thornton is the Coordinator of Access and Equity Outreach at University of Arkansas - Partners for Inclusive Communities. She provides professional development and technical assistance on topics related to disability, diversity, digital access, leadership, and design. She is very interested in working with organizations to create more accessible environments and to position disability as an aspect of diversity. She brings a variety of professional experiences, including working as a park interpreter at Toltec Mounds Archeological State Park.

For NAI Institutional and Commercial members wishing to purchase attendance for multiple staff members: the first registrant will pay normal pricing and each additional registrant will run $25. Anyone wishing to gain Certification renewal hours from the webinar will have to login to the webinar on their own computer. This allows us to verify that they were in attendance and credit the hours to their account. In order to hear the presentation, you will need to use your computer speakers or a headset (such as earbuds that came with your cell phone) to stream the audio through your computer. If you would like to participate in Q&A with the presenter, we recommend using a microphone.
