Certified Interpretive Host Train-the-Trainers Workshop
January 8-11, 2018 or January 9-10, 2018
Trudeau Training Center, Oakland, CA
Instructor: Emily Jacobs
Are you looking for training that combines non-formal interpretation skills with customer service? Do you want to train/certify staff and others on behalf of NAI? If so, this course is for you! This course has two different tracks for attendance and certification. For individuals who are not current Certified Interpretive Trainers (CIT) with NAI, a four-day course will be held January 8-11. In this session, you will learn how NAI teaches interpretation, what is expected for Certified Interpretive Host (CIH) certification and will complete two requirements for becoming a CIT. If you already are a CIT, are fully sanctioned as a CIG instructor, and want to teach the CIH as well, come for only two of the days, January 9-10. Once you take the class, you can use NAI's curriculum and certify staff and volunteers at your own site or serve as a contractor to sites without a trainer on staff.

Lodging can be set up on your own but our hosts recommend three hotels within a short driving distance from our site (about 20 minutes). Please click here for the list/contact information.
