Have you ever wondered how to be a better coach for your staff? Are you looking for new coaching tools such as language and methods to review your interpreters? Do you struggle with the difference between coaching and supervision? If so, this new 3-day workshop is for you! Building upon the requests from our membership for more management skills training, NAI offers this course to give you a chance to both learn and hone your coaching skills.
During this course participants will study and practice skills including how to review a program, coaching styles and preferences and giving verbal feedback. Throughout the offering, participants will take part in practicums designed to put new skills into practice, including coaching live interpreters.

Logistics
Lodging can be obtained on your own but the host has secured a room block for us at the Baymont Delaware at 1720 Columbus Pike in Delaware, OH. For a look at the rooms, please click here. Room rate for a double queen or single king room will average $80.75/night + tax.
There are also two state parks within a 20-minute drive of Deer Haven Park that have campgrounds. To reserve a campsite at either Alum Creek State Park or Delaware State Park, visit https://ohiostateparks.reserveamerica.com/welcome.do. Campsites start at $28.00 per night.
Meals
Each day mid-morning and mid-afternoon snacks will be provided. All other meals are on your own and there are several restaurants within a short driving distance or you can bring your own.
Airport
The closest airport to the training site is the John Glenn Airport in Columbus, OH (about 40 minutes away). Please do not plan to leave our course any earlier than 4pm on Thursday to catch your flight.
Registration

Special Terms and Cancellation
Cancellations must be made in writing and emailed, postmarked, or faxed. Emailed cancellations should be sent to registration@interpnet.com. Cancellations cannot be made by phone. If you cancel 1-3 weeks prior to the course you will receive a 50% refund. Cancellations made 1 week or less prior to the course will not receive a refund.
No refunds will be given after August 22, 2017.
